C O V E R your H E A D

So…this actually is my first official ‘fashion outfit’ blog. First i want to just say to those millions of girls and women out there doing fashion blogs: how in the world do you guys do this every single day?!  R E S P E C T ! It’s sooooo much work! And that’s why i want to start with congratulating Saskimo on getting this one done. I did it!

What did i do? Well as you read, the title of this blog is ‘cover your head’. I’m fascinated by this ‘covering’ as you can also see on my pinterest i dedicated an entire board to this covering fascination. I’ve actually always (started when 12 years old) loved wearing hats, scarfs, beanies, caps etcetera . And since my alter echo ‘Saskimo’ is becoming more and more alive i decided to create a suiting ‘cover’ image. On the first pics you see this E S K I M O looking style. I bought the hat at Episode, a great vintage store in Utrecht (and more places in Holland) Don’t know if i will wear it for real, but if i have to perform, give a workshop or whatsoever to do with Saskimo, it can become like my Saskimo costume.

After the Saskimo costume pics, my photographer  S T E R R E  M E U R S  (thank you so much for your beautiful work!) and i got totally caught up in my basket full of  W O O L… and for a couple of moments i literally disappeared into this basket and actually wanted to stay there, BUT no, i was doing a shoot. So we went outside and took the other pics just at the end of my street, perfect location. The beautiful bright colored H E A D B A N D  is made by my good friend  J E N N Y  T S U I , if you like it let me know, she makes one in an hour time! The white B E A N I E is pure wool and knitted by, yes me. It’s comfy and W A R M.  After that i decided to show a little of my American heart with the C O W B O Y style hat. I actually also bought it in America, Detroit. In the last pictures i show off my new love for C A P S. This one’s from H&M and i bought it almost a year ago so i wouldn’t go try to find it. The little  S U I T C A S E  i’m holding is from a Vintage store in Utrecht called Griensch, great stuff!

Let me know which covering of my head you like best in a comment!

    Hey Sas,
Leuke foto’s! De allerleukste vind ik degene met je eskimo bontmuts met de wol en waarbij je recht in de camera kijkt. Die is echt gaaf!

    Alles goed verder?

    Groetjes,

Dank voor je comment! grappig is die geworden het, met de bolletjes wol. Ik ben benieuwd naar jou technische coupeuse dag foto’s… kun je die een keer op FB zetten?

    Hoi Saskia,

Hey Imke, leuk! mooi is die he.
